Installing your Velo 2 Stem Cap Mount

Integrate your Velo 2 seamlessly with your bike. Compatible with all standard 1 and 1/8 inch headset top caps. What’s included:

Compatibility

The Velo 2 Stem Cap Mount is designed to replace a stem cap on a typical threadless headset. The stem cap is the small, round cover that sits on the top of your bicycle's head tube. Threadless headsets are commonly found on the vast majority of modern bicycles. This mount will not work with threaded headsets, often known as ‘quill’ stems.

Installation

Caution:

• Ensure that the mount insert has enough clearance to fit properly. Using a headset bolt that is too long, or failing to remove washers or shims that were in place before installing the Stem Cap Mount can cause fitment to be too tight
• Do not over-tighten the headset bolt, as doing this can mean you risk damaging your headset
• You may want to apply some threadlock to the headset bolt to help prevent loosening over time due to vibration
